Looking for an impactful position in one of Europe’s top nature tech startups?
Nowadays it’s well known that climate change broadly affects biodiversity and the global nature. About 69% of global wildlife has been lost over the last 50 years, which is a quite astonishing percentage. Furthermore, more than 50,000 companies have to run through an assessments of their impact on the global environment and biodiversity, based on the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) issued by the European Union. However, what is crucial is the necessity of granular monitoring and measurements of biodiversity for local nature restoration and this is where hula.earth comes into play…
We're a group of tech enthusiasts who share a passion for nature and a strong belief in the need for change. With backgrounds in software development and machine learning, we're merging our skills and interests to introduce something innovative.
Hula Earth reached a milestone by developing an advanced, data-driven monitoring, reporting and verification (MRV) solution to support the biodiversity conservation process. The Hula BioT device can monitor biodiversity and detect wildlife in real-time. Additionally, satellites are used to gather important information about natural developments, the state of the surface and trends in the environment. Once integrated with the Hula platform, the device yields valuable information such as air quality, nearby living animals detected via a microphone, the amount of stored carbon dioxide and ecosystem resilience in real-time. The goal is to attract businesses to invest in conservation efforts to step against climate change and animal extinction. Additionally, with their initiative they can earn biodiversity credits, which act as financial strategy for the private sector to invest in conservation efforts.
